Who We Are
Aurora View is an alternative rock band that mixes heavy emotional songwriting with modern electronic influence. Our sound pulls from bands like My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, and Korn, but we’re also heavily inspired by Sega Bodega, experimental electronic music, and the more atmospheric side of hyperpop. The goal has always been to make music that feels honest and hits hard—something that lives between rock, electronic, and whatever else moves us.

Background
We released our first EP, Death Spells, in 2018, and it gained traction early on, especially on YouTube and streaming.

In 2020 we worked with producer Josh Schroeder, releasing songs like “Last Night,” “Wishbones,” “Honey Oil,” and “Please. Don’t.” Those tracks helped us reach new listeners and land on a number of Spotify playlists.

In 2022 we went back to Schroeder for the SHMR EP, which included “Lovesick” and “Rose Whiplash.” That release brought in close to a million streams and helped us hit more than 80,000 monthly listeners.

Recent Work
In 2023, we signed with Out of Line Music, which has opened the door for us to expand what we’re building.

Our latest single, “Butterfly,” was mixed by Courtney Ballard (Waterparks, All Time Low, 5SOS, Emarosa). Courtney is also mixing the rest of the upcoming record, helping shape the most dialed-in version of our sound so far.

Live Shows
Since moving to Los Angeles, we’ve started playing local shows—most recently pulling near-capacity crowds, including one sold-out show. We’re focused on building a live experience that feels intense, personal, and immersive.

OUR MESSAGE
Our music tends to circle around themes of love, loss, self-reflection, and the messiness of being human. We lean into emotional storytelling, but we also experiment—sonically and visually—to keep pushing forward.
